📚 Kindergarten is a child's first experience with formal education and being introduced to working and socializing in a "community". 👨👩👧👦🏫
In the first half of the year, it is all about building the individual's confidence and keeping the students motivated and engaged during their lessons by allowing the students to use as much of their five senses as possible. 👁👂🏻 🖐 💡
What I had found to really help build the students confidence is through our daily class discussions and allowing each of the students to express their thoughts and knowledge and learn to share what they know openly, constructively, and mindfully. ✨
As the class have gained new knowledge and have worked through the necessary stages, they are now ready to "kick it up a gear" especially on the math subject where they will be introduced to early math concepts like single digit addition.
As for the English subject the students will be introduced to early stages of reading as well as blending sounds to create a 3 and 4 letter words and we hope to close the year off with a 5 or up to 6 letter words.
With children at this age, building and maintaining their confidence level is crucial and it is a step-by-step process. 🌈
