Our Curriculum
Cranberry International School is a licensed international school under the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC), Ministry of Education, Thailand. Our curriculum is fully approved by the Ministry of Education and follows internationally recognized academic standards to ensure that students receive a high-quality, globally aligned education.
For the core learning areas—English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science—we follow the U.S. Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the U.S. Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). These standards provide clear learning progressions, strong academic foundations, and internationally benchmarked expectations for student achievement.
For additional learning areas—Social Studies, Arts, Physical Education, Health, and ICT—we draw from the AERO Standards and the California State Standards, ensuring a well-rounded, comprehensive curriculum that supports both academic and personal development.
We also teach Thai Language, Culture, and History based on the Ministry of Education’s Curriculum for Thai Language and Culture for International Schools. Beginning from Kindergarten 1, students additionally learn Chinese as a supplementary language to enhance global communication skills.
At the Kindergarten level, U.S. early years standards are applied with a focus on holistic development—physical, cognitive, emotional, and social—through theme-based and play-based learning experiences that prepare young learners for future academic success.
MAP Growth Testing
To support personalized learning and monitor academic progress, Cranberry International School uses the MAP Growth Assessment (Measures of Academic Progress), an internationally trusted tool widely used by American and international schools.
MAP Growth provides:
Accurate measurement of each student’s learning level
Data to track growth over time
Insights that help teachers tailor instruction
Clear reports for parents on academic progress
Alignment with Common Core and international standards
Because MAP is adaptive, it adjusts to each child’s performance, giving a precise picture of their strengths and areas for improvement. This helps us ensure that every student is learning at the right level and moving forward with confidence.
