Cranberry International School

Founded in 2013 as an international preschool, Cranberry International School (CIS), has since grown to encompass Primary Grades 1-6. As an English-language immersion school, students and staff at CIS are expected to communicate only in English throughout their school day both in and out of the classroom. This approach benefits students by ensuring that they are actively engaged in speaking English in a variety of settings, while communicating with peers, teachers, and administrative staff. Cranberry International School curriculum is designed to follow the US Common Core Standards. In addition, CIS is partnered with NWEA bringing MAP growth testing to our students.

Philosophy

The philosophy of Cranberry International School embraces the concept of developing the whole child. It reflects an understanding that children learn through active involvement and play and that children represent their knowledge in a variety of ways. It recognizes the social nature of learning and the essential role of language in mediating thought, communication and learning.

Our Programs & Curriculum

Kindergarten Level

Nursery (age 2 - 3 years)
Kindergarten 1 (age 3-4 years)
Kindergarten 2 (age 4-5 years)
Kindergarten 3 (age 5-6 years)

Primary Level

Grades 1 - 6 (age 6-12 years)

As a licensed international school under the authority of the Office of Private Education Commission, Ministry of Education, Thailand, our international school curriculum, approved by the Ministry of Education, follows US Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and US Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for the core learning areas including English Language Art, Mathematics, and Science.
For additional learning areas including Social Studies, Arts, Physical Education, Health, and ICT, the curriculum standards are based on the AERO Standards and California State Standards.
In addition, we teach Thai Language, Culture, and History using Thailand's Ministry of Education's Curriculum for Thai Language and Culture for International School and also provide Chinese lessons as a supplementary subject to students from Kindergarten 1 onwards.
For our Kindergarten Level, the US Standards are applied to prepare younger learners for their future learning with an emphasis on physical, cognitive, emotional, and social developments through theme-based learning activities.

Our Team

At CIS, our dedicated team is a vibrant blend of international homeroom teachers, subject teachers, Admin & Management team, and support staff. Each member brings a wealth of experience and the right qualifications to their role. Our international homeroom teachers are native English speakers (speaking English as their first language) with valid teaching permits and teaching experience. Our Thai staff also communicate in English, enhancing the immersive English language environment we strive to provide.

To ensure excellence, all CIS staff participate annually in training sessions that cover Child Safeguarding, First Aid & CPR, MAP Growth assessments, and team-building activities. We are committed to creating a joyful learning environment, as we believe that staff happiness directly contributes to a thriving educational experience for our students.
